Abstract Rock Super Star Oil Painting Reproductions

What tools and materials I used for this Oil Painting Reproductions are: canvas, oil paints, painting knife, linseed oil, spray bottle, brushes and so on. Actually, it is hard to decide if use acrylic oil paints for this design, I considered it a lot and I decide use oil paints to do it as it can express more heavy feeling which just I want at the rock music. I am a crazy fan of rock music start from my childhood, at that time, most of my daily time was spent on the rock music CD which have a lot of good music from some rock master such as: BB king and so on, their genius addict me and effect on me a lot, even when I went to study artwork course when I was teenager, I still keep the passion about it.

If you do, have you ever thought you could be a rock super star?  OK, today, I want to introduce how to paint one of my artworks which is about rock super star, this is one of my favorite designs which can describe what I like. At the beginning, in order to make the better effect, you should stretch the canvas on the stretcher (In some of my designs, I can paint it directly without stretcher and I would like to stretch it when I need to use painting knife on the painting). Long time ago, I painted a lot of reality style oil paintings which need to paint all detail I saw, and today, it is abstract style, so I should catch the major feeling to paint.

I just use black oil paints with linseed oil to make the layer 1 and sketch the profile what I want to paint. After the layer 1 dry, I painted the super star with his guitar in the middle of the painting and use red and yellow around the background as second layer. Because this layer is with heavy oil paints, I took it out of studios and let it dry faster. When the layer 2 get dried, I used painting knife to scrape on the background with some different oil paints such as blue, white, green to make abstract effect. After all, use the spray bottle to get some which and yellow color and mix linseed oil, then spray on the background.
